SuMmEr!!

I am beginning to think that I will need a vacation from summer ;-)

We started the summer with Memorial Day weekend at Lake Cisco where Kenlee caught a 17" fish, and Kelton re-discovered his love for tubing and anything thrilling.

I think he wore himself out!

We also got to spend the night with Granny, and the kids got to help nurse a baby fawn.

The next weekend we headed to graduation in Comanche on Friday and Strawn on Saturday.

On to June!

The 1st weekend of June was dance recital for Desiree & Kenlee.
Dress rehearsal was on Saturday & recital was held on Sunday.

The 2nd weekend of June I headed to Lueders as a sponsor for Lad & Lassie Church Camp.

We did archery, Bible study, canoeing, crafts, paddle boats,
swimming, water slides, worship, and the zip line!

The 3rd weekend of June we hosted a baby shower for Erin C. on Friday & Erin S. on Saturday.

The last week of June Kenlee ventured on a charter bus to church camp in Waxahachie... so far from home! She LOVED it and would've stayed the whole summer if she could.

While she was away, Kelton and I ventured back to Leuders for church camp
for him and a couple of other preschoolers ;-)

I think the calendar is up to July now...

Well, the 1st weekend we hosted Kandi's baby shower & celebrated
a family birthday with a cookout. And, of course, we got to enjoy
new baby Evyn, new baby Wade, and 4th of July celebrations.

July 6-10 Kenlee participated in AHS Mini-Cheer camp, and both kids had swim lessons.
The next week held the rigorous Choreography Camp for Beamers Cheerleading and date day with Aunt Candy & Aunt Pam (I think I got a nap in that day!)

This week is VBS (I was NOT expecting to have 38 preschoolers in my class!!! God is good~)
Hopefully this weekend we can get to Waco to visit Daniel,
then we will celebrate baby Arianna's baptism and Christina's baby shower.

Although we have had a Jam-Packed Summer, we've had lots of pajama days where we hang out at the house playing trains, transformers, Barbies, and school. Kenlee has perfected making blueberry pancakes this summer, and we've luxuriated in some lazy days.

Now we are on the countdown to family vacation in Jamaica! For some reason, we have decided to spend our 9th anniversary WITH the kids on a tropical island ;-) We're excited, and the kids have been working very hard to save money for swimming with the dolphins.

Maybe keeping busy this summer keeps my mind of the looming
First Day of Kindergarten and First Day of Third Grade!

Facebook has been a great way to connect with old friends and to get to know new friends better. I have also enjoyed keeping up with my family through their blogs, so I decided to create a Smith Station Central for me to update friends and family on the happeningsof this branch of the tree.
